Darker Than BLACK – Episode 16

[Opening Song: “Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero Without A Name~” by Antic Cafe]
[Summary: “The Memory of Betrayal is that of an Amber Smile (Part 2)”]
“Why do you, a Contractor, serve the humans?”
Due to the terrorist attacks, the city is thrown into chaos. November 11 is taken hostage and Yin is with the mysterious ‘Amber’ and we are introduced to the “Evening Primrose.” But who are they, exactly? We’re not quite sure.
Hei gets a letter from Amber and in a fit of rage, he runs off after her. We finally see Misaki after a long, long time (or it just FEELS like it’s been a long time) and she ends up teaming with July to find November and save him.
There was a reason the Evening Primrose kidnapped November, but he is not interested in their offer. That offer is extended to Hei, but will he take it? Is his desire worth that bit of humanity and belief that he still holds onto?
[Ending Song: “Dreams” by HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR]
[The Kuroneko’s Thoughts]
Even though Contractors are known to be heartless, ruthless, with no sense of feeling or emotions, we can see that it is not the case. They share a sense of friendship, of love; they feel betrayal, sadness, and loneliness. The various relationships created by these Contractors are both simple and complicated…and continues on in eternal circles.
This is where everything comes together and gets interesting!

I don’t know if you’ll get this, Vateriel, since you didn’t leave any e-mail address or anything for me to reach you, but the track played with Hei normally attacks (I used your example, so I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for) is called “Outside” composed by Kanno Youko. As for the song that is played when Hei is going to attack Amber, I don’t know which song that is–sorry =/
I hope that answered your questions.

Thank you for your reply. Indeed Outside is one of these battle songs, but there’s another one, well known, that appears in most of Hei’s fights, as for the first one against the contractor who manipulates gravity.
These 2 songs i’m looking for do not appear in the official album.
thanks

I’m afraid I don’t know what that song is. I’m just a lowly college student who likes to watch anime and occasionally review them when I’m not busy. I’m really sorry about not being able to help you. If I ever find out, I’ll be sure to tell you!

I don’t suppose anyone ever figured out the battle songs that Vateriel was on about?
